Consider the error code 10 as a warning of more severe problems and the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.noritz.com\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/errorcode90premix\/\">error code 90<\/a> if proper steps are not taken to resolve. The troubleshooting steps for both error code 10 and <a href=\"https:\/\/help.noritz.com\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/errorcode90premix\/\">error code 90<\/a> are the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This error can occur for several reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Incorrect installation settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low air flow rate (ie: Incorrect Venting, Dirty or Clogged Terminations or Filters)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low gas flow rate or heating value (ie: Incorrect gas line size, too long of gas line, too small a gas meter)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the above reasons will result in the unit not producing the correct hot water outlet temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To troubleshoot, verify the following installation settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elevation setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vent type setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vent length setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vent size setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Common vent setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can change the water heater settings with the buttons on the circuit board or a smartphone app called \u201cEZ Start Plus\u201d using the built-in Bluetooth. For detailed setup instructions, please refer to the installation manual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below are the settings you can configure using the buttons on the circuit board:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elevation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gas Type (Require gas conversion procedure to be completed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vent Type (DV, SV, OD, Flex)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vent Length<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vent Size<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Common Vent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This error can also result from low primary gas pressure or a low gas heating value. You will need to verify that under all conditions, the heater is receiving the correct inlet gas pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reset this error, disconnect and reconnect the power.
