Will I get hot water if there is a power outage?
Tankless heaters will not work if there is a power outage. The heater has a computer board and other components that require electricity to operate the heater.
If you live in an area prone to power outages you can connect the heater to a battery backup system or a power generator that provide at lease 120v by 5 amps, and produces a pure sine wave. Noritz does not make or sell any battery backup systems or a power generators.
